We will offer a variety of classes for all levels and interests. Some classes can be completed in a day or over a weekend. Other classes will be month-long workshops. Most of the classes and workshops will fall into one of five categories: Concept: understand and apply principles of color, photography or design Project: complete a mini-album or other project Technique: hands-on instruction for must-do techniques Inspiration: ideas, inspiration and motivation from our scrapbooking celebrities Product: new uses for your favorite tools and supplies All of our CKU Home Study classes are designed to bring you quality education from the industry’s top designers and instructors.
You can register for online classes anytime of day, any day of the week for as long as the class is available. That’s one of the great things about CKU Home Study. You can take classes on your schedule!

Next, select your classes. Confirm your schedule and be prepared to pay using your VISA, MasterCard or American Express. Sorry, we don’t accept Discover.
Want to register for a friend? Every registration you enter is designed for one registrant only. If you want to register for a friend or family member, you'll need to complete a separate registration using a separate e-mail. That way each of you will receive access to the online classroom, emails from your instructor, and other class materials.
Yes. Class kits and other products will be offered, but not required as part of each class. Once you register for CKU Home Study class, you will have access to the virtual classroom. There, you will be able to view two class supply lists. One list will provide all of the product information for duplicating the instructor’s project. We will direct you to an online store, or sponsor web site where you can purchase the class kit and supplies. The other supply list will be generic so that the you can customize the class project to fit your own style, theme, color, or size and/or use the materials that you already have in your stash. Plan to gather or purchase the class supplies before viewing the video presentation.
We know how important it is to receive feedback from your peers. Every class will have a gallery and message board where students can post projects and share comments.
Yes. To receive your CKU Home Study diploma, you need to take a total of ten online classes. At least five of these classes should be selected from the CKU Home Study category. The remaining classes may be selected from other online classes offered by Creating Keepsakes, Paper Crafts, Simple Scrapbooks or our sponsors.
To view the video class presentation you will need high-speed internet and an updated web browser with Flash such as Internet Explorer, Firefox or AOL. To download the class materials and templates, you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader.
Yes and no. Our virtual classrooms will be accessible for students who have both dial-up and high-speed internet. However, the video presentation segment of the class will be offered via streaming video, and students will a need high-speed internet connection to view this part of the class. If you have dial-up internet, we suggest that you visit a library, university or work with a friend to view the class presentation using a high-speed internet connection.
You will have access to the class materials and gallery for as long as the class is active. (In most cases, for 6 months.) We hope that you will continue to post projects and interact with your instructor and other students even after you have completed the class.
Yes. Once you access the video class presentation, you will have a limited number of days to view the video. This number will vary, depending on the format of the class. But don’t worry! You’ll have enough time and enough views to be able to learn the class concepts and complete the class project. You will be able to pause, rewind, and fast-forward the video each time you view it. Note: Make sure that you use the same computer each time you view the video class presentation. You will only be able to access the presentation from one computer. Be sure to check the class notes for the number of days and views available for each video class presentation.
If you have made a mistake during registration, you have one hour to cancel the class without any penalties. Once you have accessed the online classroom, you will not be able to cancel that class.
